South African Ministry of Police’s high level delegation visits and works with PPA

In the framework of international cooperation between the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security and the South African Ministry of Police, from November 2nd-8th, 2011, the high level delegation led by H.E Emannuel He Nkosinathi Mthethwa, the Minister of Police visited and worked with the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security, including the People's Police Academy.



To implement the Vietnam Minister of Public Security’s direction on international cooperation in the field of education and training with police forces of South Africa, on November 4th, 2011 People's Police Academy was warmly welcomed South African Minister of Police with the delegation. Accompanied by ministers were also South African ambassador in Vietnam, Political Adviser, Assistant Secretary, together with the security officers of Minister.

Receiving and working with the South African delegation,  as of the People's Police Academy were Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Canh along with leaders of the PP faculties, departments and centers. As of Vietnam Ministry of Public Security were representatives of the International Cooperation Department, the Education and Training Department.

After listening to Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Canh presented and introduced establishment, growth and development in nearly 45 years of the PPA, South African Minister of Police expressed his admiration and sympathy with difficulty and success of the Academy in building roadmap to become high-quality training centers in the People Police force and one of the key university in the countries in the near future.

When referring PPA’s suggestions on international cooperation between two police forces in general and between the PPA and the South African police training schools in particular, on behalf of senior delegations, Minister Emannuel Nkosinathi Mthethwa received with the advices and direction of development between both forces.

Ending the meeting, the South African delegation visited the PPA's material facilities, campus and activities of education and training.
